Verizon has notified the Union that it is declaring a surplus condition in 23 titles within force Adjustment Areas ('FAAs") 1 through 5. In addition Verizon is declaring a surplus of Representatives in the Manhattan and Queens Article 8 Units. This surplus condition has been determined by the Company to be a process change. The provisions of the respective FAP Articles 8(b) and 10 will not apply in this case. The surplus titles will be offered by May 9, 2017. An employee's election to leave the service of the company and receive EIPP payments must be in writing and transmitted to the company within 15 days of the offer, in this case May 23, 2017. The off-payroll date for employees who accept the offer will be June 4th, 2017.
Note: This offer is the regular EIPP and not the enhanced offer that the Company may declare 1 time per year per title.
