Why are We Treated Differently
Than our T-Mobile co-workers in Germany?

·        We both work for the same company.

·        We both perform the same jobs.

·        We both share the same issues
(monitoring, AHT, quotas, training).

·        We both handle the same customer complaints.

·        We both have the same knowledge and technical skills.

·        We are the backbone of our company.

Why? They have a Union!

T-Mobile's workers in Germany have higher wages, and better benefits and working conditions because they have union representation and a contract that they negotiated with management. T-Mobile workers like us in the U.S. should expect no less - especially since T-Mobile USA is the fastest growing part of T-Mobile, contributing 41% of total company revenue in 2007.

What Can a Union Mean for Us?

Ask any former T-Mobile worker now represented by CWA. They have a real voice on the job and union representation rights protected by federal law.

·        They are not "at-will" employees and cannot be fired for any reason.

·        What they negotiate with management (pay, benefits, working conditions, company policies, etc.) is part of their contract and is guaranteed.

·        Their employer cannot change working conditions without negotiations.

·        They have greater job security and stability thanks to union contract provisions covering layoffs, rehire rights, and severance pay.
